Why won't my laptop power up? If your laptop cannot be powered up, the possibilities would include: a faulty ac adaptor; a faulty battery; or a faulty motherboard. Our advice is: test each part on your laptop separately.

Why is my laptop battery not charging effectively? Normally this means that the battery needs replacing although it could be due to a faulty motherboard.

What is the turn around time for repairing my laptop? For normal repairs, please allow 7 working days turn around time. If any parts are out of stock, we are generally able to source them within a few days. If you want your laptop to be fixed urgently, this may be possible at extra cost.

How long should a laptop battery charge last? Normally they last for around 1-3 hours. Heavy duty batteries can last up to 6 hours. If you find that your battery does not last this time, chances are that it needs replacing.

Do you offer an international repair service? We will repair laptops from anywhere in the world, but please be aware that carriage costs could be high, and may be more than the value of the repair.

What is my warranty? Warranty for our repair service is 3 months on new parts, 14 days on video card repairs.

Why does my laptop sometimes shut itself down? This generally happens if your laptop overheats, the CPU is faulty, the motherboard is faulty, or the CPU fan is faulty. Make sure the laptop is getting sufficient airflow before presuming there is a fault.

How do I know the hard drive is faulty in my laptop? Sometimes, the HDD will be noisy, or you will find an error message in the bios page as the laptop is booted up. If you suspect HDD faults it is best to ask us for help as we can diagnose faults and also recover lost data

How to know if a DVD-rom or DVD drive is faulty in my laptop? If you can not use the DVD rom to record, or play CD discs, this is likely due to a faulty DVD-rom, although motherboard problems should not be ruled out.
